Remove Closetmaid Wall Clips

ClosetMaid brand offers a variety of closet storage solution options, including shelving, drawers and traditional hanging rods. Installing a ClosetMaid system will take several hours to get everything positioned correctly. However, if you mistakenly place a wall clip, that is the part of the system that holds the top back portion of the wire shelving, in the wrong place or if you just want to remove the system entirely, don't worry. Removing the clip from the wall is a relatively simple process. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Unscrew the shelf support brackets from the wall with an electric screwdriver.

2. Remove the bracket from the shelf by bringing the bottom portion of the bracket forward, and pushing up on the bracket. This should unhook it from the shelf.

3. Remove the shelf from the wall by popping the shelf off of each clip and lifting the shelf up. Set the shelf aside. This gives you enough room to work on the wall clips.

4. Place a flat head screwdriver between the wall and the plastic clip, and move the pin outward by prying on it with the screwdriver.

5. Pull the pin all the way out of the wall using a pair of pliers.
