Make Purse Storage

Organize all your purses in one go.

While a purse can be a useful tool to keep all your belongings on hand stylishly, it can also be a nightmare to keep organized; somehow your necessary essentials like wallet, keys and cell phone always end up multiplying into a huge mess. Even if you're able to keep your handbag relatively organized, switching purses can be troublesome, often leading to forgotten or misplaced items. Instead of focusing on creating an organized storage system for one purse, focus your efforts on constructing a portable storage system you can quickly and easily transfer from purse to purse.

Instructions

1. Break down an empty cereal box with a pair of scissors. Trim away the tabs at the top and bottom of the box, as well as one of the side panels; you should be left with a flat piece of cardboard that consists of a front, back and one side panel.

2. Cover the cardboard with a fabric of your choice and sew it with a needle and thread.

3. Place your purse essentials neatly on top of the front and back portions of the covered cardboard box; these will act as the supports for the sides of your storage system while the short middle panel will act as the base.

4. Cover each item you plan to carry with pieces of your remaining fabric to create custom pockets. Use straight pins to hold the fabric in place and then remove each item.

5. Sew the pockets along the straight pins with your needle and thread. Remove the straight pins when finished.

6. Replace all your essential items into the pockets and put the storage system in a purse of your choice. Switch the storage system into your other purses as needed.
