Keep your closet organized to improve access to your clothing.
A bedroom closet serves many functions. It keeps your clothes off the floor and sorted, and it stores various objects not needed in the main room. Shoes are often kept in the closet as well as off-season accessories. It is easy for a closet to become overstuffed and untidy, but it is just as easy to organize a closet. Do so and you will be able to access your things much more readily. Does this Spark an idea?
Instructions
1. Sort your closet into things that you need and things that you do not. Closets are places where useless things tend to gather. Get rid of any clothes that do not fit or which you have not worn for more than a year.
2. Place the unnecessary things in garbage bags and donate them to charity.
3. Place all of the shoes you don't wear regularly into shoe boxes. This prevents them from falling into a disorganized tangle. Take a picture of each pair of shoes and tape the pictures to the appropriate box. This prevents you from needing to dig through your shoes when in a hurry.
4. Sort the remaining clothes by length. Place longer clothes, such as dresses or long coats, together toward a side or back of the closet. Place short clothes toward the center or front, as they can create a more spacious look in the closet.
5. Add plastic hooks to both sides of a standard closet door using the included adhesive. Hooks provide more places to hang things, which gets them off the floor.
