Hang Things In A Closet

Hanging items correctly leaves you with an organized closet.

Hanging things in a closet correctly can be a challenging skill. Using hanging shelves and accessory hooks allows you to organize the items in your closet that do not fit on hangers. For items you do place on hangers, hanging them in an organized fashion makes finding each piece of an outfit a quick process. Once you master hanging things in your closet correctly, keeping your closet organized will become second nature. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Place your clothing on hangers so that when you look at the fronts of shirts and dresses, the hooks all face the same direction. After pants are placed on hangers, you can then turn the hangers to go in the same direction as the shirt hangers.

2. Place the hangers onto the closet rod with the hooks facing the back of the closet. Hang shirts on one side of the closet and pants on the opposite. Hang dresses on the left side of your shirts if you do not wear them on a regular basis. If you routinely wear dresses, hang them to the right of your shirts.

3. Unhook the hook-and-loop closure on the hanging shelving unit. Re-secure the closure over the closet rod between your shirts or dresses and pants. (You may need a stepstool to hang the shelving unit.) The shelving unit openings must face the front of the closet.

4. Place accessory hooks over the closet rod on either side of your hanging shelves. Belt hooks should hang next to pants, while other accessory hooks should hang on the shirt side of the closet.
