2. Measure the width of the curtains. The curtains will conceal the stored items. The width how far out from the wall to go with the frame and still close the closet completely. The frame should be as deep as the space provides. Cut the PVC piping to the desired length according to the measurement.

3. Cut PVC pipe to make two side rails and one end cap. The end cap should be as long as the two studs are apart. Secure the three pieces together with two 90-degree elbows to create a rectangular U shape. Glue the PVC pipe to the fitting with PVC adhesive.

4. Measure the depth of the enclosure. Suspend a piece of wire from the ceiling to use as a support for the frame once the frame is screwed to the wall. Screw one end of the wire to a ceiling stud or loop it over a drop ceiling's frame.

5. Slide the curtains over the PVC pipe. Secure a platform end cap with two screw holes onto the end of each side rail using PVC adhesive. Bring the whole frame and curtain closet up to the height it is to hang. Screw each platform end cap to the wall. Loop the wire around the end of the frame and tension the wire to keep the frame from sagging.

6. Place the milk crates on their sides and stack them on top of one another for shelves. Use empty shoe boxes for smaller items. Place them on top of the milk crates.
