Organize A Foyer Hanging Rod

Foyer closets are often limited in space, so organizing them is the key to making the most of the closet. While small closets tend to get cluttered with odds and ends, taking a day to clean them out and organize will de-clutter the area and make it more user-friendly. Hanging rods and hooks allow you to hang seasonal coats or other accessories, such as hats and umbrellas. There are various tips and suggestions to helping you utilize your valuable closet space. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Remove everything from the hanging rod, shelves and floor to see the working area. As you remove items, de-clutter by choosing which items should be given to charity, tossed or kept.

2. Replace items in the foyer closet that you decided to keep. First, hang up coats on hangers and place on the hanging rod. Limit the number of hanging jackets in the foyer so that there is 3 to 4 inches of space between each hanger to keep jackets from getting crumpled.

3. Hang umbrellas on the hanging rod to keep them conveniently situated or place other accessories such as handbags on hooks and secure them over the rod to ensure they stay off the floor.
