Create a hanging space by suspending some rods in your child's room. Dedicate one corner for the rods, which are available at home stores. Suspend them from wires or posts. The uncommon style of these rods makes them more than just a storage space. They can also serve as an element of the room design.
If you want the organizational benefits of these rods without integrating them with the rest of the room, hang a second set in front of the rods. Hang curtain panels from them to section off the closet space you have created and keep it out of view.
Sporty Locker Look
If your kid is sporty and wants a room to match, create a closet with an equally sporty look by using lockers as a closet space. Purchase a row of lockers for your kid's room. To make the locker set even more reminiscent of a locker room, place a bench in front of it, making the entire space get-ready appropriate.
Dress-Up Rolling Racks
Buy a large, sturdy rolling rack for your child's room. Position it against a wall, along with a full-length mirror. Put a dresser nearby. If your child is a budding fashionista, she will appreciate this space, where she can easily reach and try on several outfits at a time. You will appreciate it, as well, because the setup will encourage her to hang up and put away the outfits she doesn't want to wear instead of dropping them on the floor.
Cubby Wall
Make up for the lack of closet space by creating a cubby wall in your kid's room. Purchase some wooden cubbies, along with fabric boxes sized to fit in them. Place the cubbies against a wall in your child's space, putting the boxes inside. Use this arrangement to stow clothes as you would in a standard closet.
