Stop Windows Ie From Arranging The Tool Bar Link Buttons Alphabetically

The Internet Explorer Web browser allows you to create link buttons at the top of the browser window, permitting one-click access to frequently visited websites. By default, Internet Explorer arranges these buttons in alphabetical order. However, you might prefer a different arrangement such as ordering the link buttons according to the sites that you visit most often. Because alphabetical sorting for the Internet Explorer links toolbar may not be the ideal solution for everyone, Internet Explorer allows you to drag and drop links to the locations that you prefer.

Instructions

1. Click and hold the mouse pointer on the link button that you want to move. The button becomes dark, indicating that it is selected and movable.

2. Move the link button to the new position of your choosing. When you have moved the link button to a valid position, Internet Explorer displays a black vertical line, signifying the new position that the button will occupy.

3. Release the mouse button to drop the link button to its new position.

4. Right-click the "Links" toolbar at the top of the browser window and select "Lock the Toolbars" to ensure that Internet Explorer will not rearrange the toolbar buttons alphabetically the next time you start the browser.
