Design A Room is available from Armstrong Flooring, and it's a free virtual design tool that does not require registration to use; you simply click on a button labeled "Start Designing" to begin. Choose from these floor plans: kitchen, foyer, bathroom, bedroom, family room, dining room, home office or living room. BHG Design Tools

The online website Better Homes and Gardens (BHG) offers not one but several virtual interior design tools: Color-a-Room, Color-a-Home, Plan-a-Garden, Design-a-Closet, Arrange-a-Room and Arrange-a-Deck. Instead of offering one comprehensive tool, they decided to make niche virtual design programs to help people with specific tasks. Many will find these tools to be more helpful than the all-in-one virtual designers that are available since other programs do not offer the wide range of design possibilities as the individual BHG tools.

With each tool, you have the ability to add in decorative accessories and change the dimensions of the floor plan to allow for better accuracy. Re-sizing and rotating can be done with all of the design elements in these programs. These design tools are free, but you will need to register with the website in order to use them.
