History
Candice Kelly Olson was born on October 27, 1964 in Kenora, Ontario, Canada. She spent her childhood in Calgary and went to school at the University of Calgary, obtaining her Bachelor of Science. She then went to the School of Interior Design at Ryerson University. After graduating, she became a regular guest of the Toronto morning show, CityLine. Olson created Candice Olson Design in 1994. In 2002, she started hosting Divine Design for the W Network in Canada and then in 2005, her show expanded to the U.S. audience, through HGTV.

As the host of the most popular television show on HGTV, Olson has a great amount of influence on interior design trends. Her style is "tradmodern," which is a fusion between traditional and modern styles. Her designs incorporate muted blues and silvers.
