Homemade Firming Lotion

Firming lotion can be applied daily to help tighten skin, reduce lines and prevent wrinkles. You can purchase firming lotions at makeup counters, grocery stores and other retail outlets. But these commercial firming lotions can be pricey and may contain chemicals. It is just as easy to make your own natural firming lotion from food and other ingredients you already have at home or can find easily at health food stores.

Firming Lotion From Oils

Shea butter can help restore elasticity in the skin. When you combine it with olive oil, almond oil and coconut oil, your skin will be restored to its young, healthy glow. These ingredients help reduce fine lines and wrinkles while moisturizing the skin.

To make a firming lotion from oils, start by melting shea butter in a pot on the stove. Mix shea butter with olive oil, almond oil and coconut oil in a bowl. Once thoroughly mixed, apply mixture to your clean face and neck in the morning or evening.

Grapeseed and Sugar Firming Lotion

Grapeseed easily penetrates into the skin and provides anti-aging antioxidants. It also helps protect the skin from sun damage. When you combine it with sugar, you have a great moisturizer and exfoliate.

To make a grapeseed and sugar lotion, mix half a cup of white sugar and half a cup of pure grapeseed oil in a bowl. Apply to newly cleaned skin by rubbing the lotion in a circular motion over your face and neck day and night.

Rejuvenating Lotion

Orange juice helps the skin glow while lemon juice will reduce age and sun spots and clear redness and acne. Combined with almond oil which reduces lines and wrinkles, you have an all-around age-fighting and skin-firming lotion.

Blend 2 tsp. orange juice, a few drops of almond oil and 1 tsp. lemon juice together. Apply the mixture to your face and neck. Add a whisked egg white to make a firming mask and leave on face and neck for 20 minutes.

Moisturizing and Firming Lotion

Olive oil, vegetable oil and coconut oil are oils that are known for their ability to tighten the skin and help fight wrinkles. The strawberries in this mixture act as an astringent and exfoliate.

Smash 2 tbsp. of strawberries in a bowl. Mix two drops of Vitamin E oil, 1 tbsp. coconut oil, olive oil and vegetable oil in a separate bowl. Pour mashed strawberries into the bowl with all the other ingredients and mix together well. Using a circular motion, rub the mixture gently on your face and neck for at least five minutes. Wash off with a washcloth or warm water.
