Dissemble your sleep number bed in under an hour.
The Sleep Number bed, made by Select Comfort, is unlike a regular bed. While a regular bed takes just two steps to dissemble--remove the mattress from the box springs and the box springs from the frame--the Sleep Number has several components hidden inside the mattress that must be removed. The Sleep Number bed can be dissembled with no tools. It will take you about 30 minutes to one hour to dissemble your bed.
Instructions
1. Unplug the bed from the wall.
2. Unzip the mattress cover and remove it.
3. Remove the foam comfort pad from the bed, if you have one.
4. Disconnect the two hoses on the firmness control system from the air chambers. The firmness control system is on the floor at the head of the bed.
5. Remove the air chambers from the bed. The air chambers are where the mattress would be on a regular bed.
6. Remove the four foam border walls from inside the bed.
7. Remove the four corner locks from inside the bed.
8. Place the mattress cover back on the mattress, and zip it up.
9. Remove the mattress from the bed.
Tips Warnings
If you need to reconnect the hose plugs, make sure they click into place.
