Install A California Closet Tie Rack

Organize your ties with a sliding tie rack.

California Closets produces a well-designed range of modular closet components. This allows you to design your own custom storage solution for any room in your home. In addition, California Closets offers a wide range of components that enable you to retro-fit accessories as and when the need arises. For example, if you wish to add a sliding tie rack to your bedroom closet, you can do so without measuring or drilling mounting holes. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Place the tie rack against the side wall of your closet clothes-hanging space. Move the rack up or down until it lines up with the pre-drilled holes at the desired height.

2. Mark the position of the front mounting hole on the closet side wall by placing your finger on the rack in line with the hole. Open the rack by sliding it forward; this will expose the row of holes on the inside runner with your finger opposite the correct mounting hole.

3. Hold the open rack in a horizontal position with the slide uppermost. Insert one of the mounting screws provided through the selected front mounting hole and snug the screw down with a Phillips screwdriver.

4. Pivot the rack back to the horizontal position and secure it to the side wall with the rear mounting screw. Tighten both screws securely.

5. Slide the small plastic cap provided into the slots on the end of the rack until it snaps into place. Slide the tie rack forward to complete the installation.
