The "Resident Evil" series is one of the pioneers of the survival horror video game genre. "Resident Evil Zero" was released from Capcom in 2002 for the Nintendo GameCube and rereleased for the Nintendo Wii in 2009. Taking place directly before the the events of the original "Resident Evil," the story follows Rebecca, a member of the S.T.A.R.S. Bravo team, and Billy, a mysterious criminal, and fleshes out much of the plot from the first "Resident Evil." Like every other "Resident Evil" game, "Zero" is chock full of dark secrets.
New Costumes
Completing "Resident Evil Zero" on either normal or hard mode will provide you with a closet key when you begin a new game. Take this key to the room on the train with the hunting rifle and use the key on the closet. You can now choose a cowgirl or leather outfit for Rebecca, or a suit for Billy.
Leech Hunter Game
To unlock the Leech Hunter mini game, complete "Resident Evil Zero" on the easy, normal or hard difficulty level. This is a timed leech-nabbing game that gives you rewards for the number of leeches that you grab. The rewards can be used in the main game the next time you play.
Collect between one and 29 leeches to receive submachine gun bullets in Rebecca's inventory. If you get between 30 and 59 leeches, your equipped handguns will have unlimited ammo. Collect between 60 and 89 leeches and the hunting gun will have unlimited ammo. Collect between 90 and 99 leeches and you will find the magnum revolver in room 202 on the train. A perfect score of 100 leeches gives you unlimited ammo to all found weapons.
Ending Bonuses
There are a variety of bonuses, depending on what grade you complete the game with. Your grade depends on how much time it took you to complete the game.
Finish the game in three-and-a-half hours or less to receive a grade of "S" and unlock the rocket launcher, submachine gun, Leech Hunter game and closet key. Finish within five hours to receive a grade of "A" and get the submachine gun, Leech Hunter game and closet key. Complete the game with a "B," "C" or D" grade to unlock the Leech Hunter game and closet key.
