Go beyond the limitations of your closet by creating clothing in the virtual world. Many individuals like trying on and experimenting with certain types of clothing. However, when they can't make it to a retail store, they can simply visit a virtual clothing website. These websites allow users to create virtual world clothing in various looks and styles conveniently online.
Instructions
1. Visit a virtual world clothing website such as i-Dress Up, Girl Games 4 U or Design Diva.
2. Scroll through a list of options to choose a clothing model. The game will begin to load. Some of the online virtual clothing websites allow you to customize the clothing model. The cosmetic tool box located at the right of the screen includes complexion, makeup color, eyebrows, eye color and hair color. Click on each of these options and the model's appearance will change.
3. Click "Designer Mode" located at the center of the page. An array of clothing will appear at the right side of the page. This clothing consists of shirts, blouses, skirts, dresses, and pants in different patterns and colors.
4. Drag and drop this clothing into the box at the left side of the page entitled "Drag Clothes and Drop Here." Once you drop each piece of clothing into the box it will lose its color and pattern becoming a template for you to re-design.
5. Add color and design to each clothing item. Click on the "Color" icon at the bottom of the page and choose a color. Then select the item within the box and it will become the color you selected. Click "Save" located at the bottom of the page, after each change is made.
6. Add a pattern or design to each clothing item. Click the "Pattern" icon at the bottom of the page and choose a color. Then select the item within the box and it will have the pattern you selected. Click "Save" located at the bottom of the page, after each change is made.
7. Click "My collection." Each clothing item that you designed will appear on a new page next to a clothing model.
8. Drag and drop the items from your collection onto the clothing model. This option allows you to create different style combinations. If you want to design more clothing, click on the "Design More" button on the right side of the page. This will bring you back to the Designer Mode page where you can drag and drop more items into the box for customization.
