Remove A Closet Organizer

Many homes have preinstalled closet organizers. One problem with these organizers is their inability to hold large amounts of heavy items. The reason for this is that many preinstalled closet organizer are inexpensively made and installed in the easiest way possible. To rectify this problem, you can remove the current closet organizer and install something a bit sturdier. When removing the closet organizer, you should be careful to not damage the walls. This will create more work for you, since you will have to patch the damaged portions of the wall. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions


1. Unclip the wire shelves from the plastic clips.


2. Lift up on each wire shelf. Pull forward and unclip them from the support brace or braces to remove the shelves.


3. Grip the bottom of the support braces with pliers. Pull out swiftly to remove the nail that holds the support in the wall.


4. Use a screwdriver to remove the screws from the plastic clips in the wall. Pull out on the clips to remove them from the wall.


5. Repeat Steps 3 and 4 to completely remove all the clips or supports from the closet walls.
