An Elfa system is custom-tailored to organize your closet.

Elfa is a collection of shelves and drawers that can be customized to whatever space you are trying to organize. Most commonly found in walk-in closets, Elfa organization systems can include a wide variety of containers depending on your needs, from solid shelves to ventilated drawers to accessory racks. The specific set that you order will include all necessary screws and hardware pieces that you need to install the Elfa system yourself. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

Top Track

1. Hold the top track in place against the wall. Place the level underneath and adjust the top track until it is level. Hold firm.

2. Mark the holes in the top track with a pencil.

3. Drill a hole in each marked spot with a 1/8-inch drill bit. Drill the entire length of the bit. Mark each hole that does not hit a wood stud with a small "x."

4. Enlarge each hole marked with an "x" with a 3/8-inch drill bit.

5. Place top track back over holes and insert wood screws with #2 driver bit into the holes not marked with an "x."

6. Remove a dark blue drywall anchor from a drywall screw and tap it with a hammer into a hole marked with an "x." Remove the gray spacer. Drill the drywall screw into the anchor. Repeat this step for each hole marked with an "x."

7. Hand-tighten all screws with a #2 Phillips head screwdriver.

8. Clip hanging standards onto the notches in the top track. Slide to desired positions, ensuring proper spacing with the included Elfa spacer. Insert ventilated shelf brackets into hanging standards at desired height for hanging ventilated shelves.

Hanging Drawers and Gliding Accessory Racks

9. Hold the u-shaped metal glide so that the straight side with notches is face-up, and the angled side is down. Line up the metal tabs on the glide with the left bracket that you will be attaching it to.

10. Press the glide into the bracket with your palm until it locks into place. Repeat with the right-side bracket.

11. Slide the rollers on the frame into the ends of the u-shaped glider.

12. Align ventilated shelves with the notches on top of the brackets and set into place.

13. Snap bracket covers over the bracket to lock ventilated shelf in place.

Adding Accesories

14. Insert either the shelf basket wire or the closet rod holder into the slot on the bottom of the desired ventilated shelf bracket.

15. Press the middle of the shelf basket toward the wall to lock into place. If you are installing a closet rod holder, go to step 3.

16. Place one end of the closet rod into one end cap and then repeat with the other side. Snap closet rod into place.

Solid Shelves

17.Turn the solid shelves upside-down and place them side-by-side with the front edges facing away from you.

18. Insert the left shelf connector of the left solid shelf so that it angles away from the edge of the bracket. Insert the right shelf connector so that it angles toward the edge of the bracket.

19. Insert the shelf connectors of the right solid shelf with the opposite configuration.

20. Turn the shelves back over and place in bracket notches. The right side of the left shelf and the left side of the right shelf will share a bracket.

21. Repeat steps 1 through 4 for each row of shelves.
