Measure the space you have available in your closet. With your wardrobe in front of you, determine what you need to store and how much space to allot to each kind of storage. Look around the house for dressers, bookshelves, or small cabinets that you might already own, or visit thrift and discount stores for pieces that can work with your closet system design.
