Help With Uninstalling Click N' Design 3d

Click n' Design 3D is a computer program that assists you in creating CD labels, DVD case inserts and other such documents. As with any piece of software it installs on the computer a number of files and settings that help the program run. If you choose to uninstall it, the process is usually relatively straightforward; however, you can experience snags and find yourself forced to manually remove aspects of the program from your machine.

Built-in Uninstall

Click n' Design 3D comes with a built-in uninstall utility that should in most circumstances remove the program completely with very little additional cleanup work required. This utility is found within the program's main folder on your hard drive. Navigate to whatever directory you selected to install the software in. By default this will be on the "C" drive of your computer under the "Program Files" folder and then under "Click n' Design 3D." Within this program folder you will see an executable file called "Uninstall." Simply run this to remove the program from your computer in full. You will be prompted to confirm whether you want to fully uninstall the software, and upon confirmation the utility will run.

Manually Removing Files

Sometimes a situation arises where using the program's included uninstall utility doesn't successfully remove the software. This can be caused by a number of problems from accidentally deleting necessary files to incompatibility with the computer's operating system. If this happens, you can still manually remove the hidden files the program has placed on your hard drive, essentially performing a manual uninstall of the program. First you'll want to delete the main folder the program occupies. Again, this is located by default under the "Program Files" folder of the "C" drive on most computers. You will also need to delete the registry keys the program created when it was first installed.

The registry can be accessed in Windows by going under the "Start" menu and clicking "Run" then typing "regedit." This will bring up a window that along the left side lists an expandable list of all registry keys organized into folders. Expand the list for "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE" and then under that the list for "SOFTWARE." Within that software folder you should see a folder for "Click n' Design 3D."

Right-click on this and select "delete." This will remove the registry keys from your system. While this method doesn't remove every single remaining file that the software may have used, it is still a very efficient alternative for uninstalling Click n' Design 3D when problems arise and the built-in un-installation process fails.
