Organize Children'S Shoes In A Closet

Keep your kids shoes and slippers organized in a closet.

How many times have your kids yelled out, "Mom, where are my shoes?" Organization isn't a priority for children, but with a little encouragement, it can be become second nature. Providing your kids with the right closet accessories can make it clear where each item should go. Then your children are more likely to put their shoes back in the closet when they are done wearing them. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Place a 2-tier shoe rack at the bottom of your child's closet. Use one rack for dress shoes and another for casual shoes. You may even want to help your child arrange the shoes by color. The important thing is that your children can quickly identify that their shoes belong on the shoe rack, and no where else in the closet.

2. Install an over-the-door shoe rack on your child's closet door. The benefit to this type of shoe organizer is that your child doesn't have to bend over to fetch a pair of shoes. Place the shoes so that the most commonly worn shoes are at arm's length, while the shoes worn less often are stacked a little higher.

3. Hang a nylon shoe organizer in the closet like you would a sweater. This type of shoe organizer has slots for each pair of shoes. Children can just place their shoes in an open slot, or the shoes can be organized by color or style. The important thing is that the shoes can be stored and accessed with ease.
