Instructions


Unlock a Pushbutton Doorknob


1. Find the hole on the doorknob. It is usually located in the center of the doorknob.


2. Select a nail or pin that is thin enough to be inserted fully into the hole in the doorknob.


3. Insert the nail or pin into the hole in the doorknob several inches until you feel it come into contact with the mechanisms inside the doorknob.


4. Find the hidden button inside the doorknob with the nail or pin. Do not twist the doorknob while you are doing this. When the pin reaches the hidden button, maneuver the pin until it has successfully pushed the button to unlock the door. The doorknob should click into unlocked position.


Unlock a Turn-Button Doorknob


5. Find the hole on the doorknob. It is usually located in the center of the doorknob.


6. Select a small flathead screwdriver that is narrow enough to fit into the hole in the center of the doorknob.


7. Grasp the doorknob with your non-dominant hand and insert the screwdriver into the hole in the doorknob.


8. Push the screwdriver toward a slot inside the doorknob that the screwdriver will fit into. It may be necessary to rotate the screwdriver back and forth until you can successfully slide the screwdriver into this slot.


9. Turn the screwdriver to the left when it is fitting into the slot to unlock the doorknob.
