Trane MCW air conditioners are a line of mini-split air conditioners designed for residential installation. Mini-split air conditioners are an excellent way to provide air conditioning to rooms in a house without central air conditioning. Similar to a window unit, mini-split air conditioners are installed in and will cool one room, and do not require duct-work throughout the house. Unlike a window unit, mini-split air conditioners are not installed in a window, rather they are mounted on the wall and often require professional installation. Instructions
1. Lift the control panel cover on the right side of the front of the MCW unit.
2. Move the handling switch to the "Off" position to turn off the unit. Alternatively, if you have an LCD display on your MCW unit, press the "Auto/Off" button until "Off" is displayed on the screen.
3. Unplug the unit's power cord from the wall outlet. If the unit is hard-wired to your electrical system, turn off the unit breaker in your service panel.
4. Wait 15 seconds and then plug the power cord back into the wall outlet or turn on the breaker.
5. Move the handling switch to the "On" or "Auto" position to turn on the unit. Alternatively, if you have an LCD display on your MCW unit, press the "Auto/Off" button until "Auto" is displayed on the screen.
