Holland America's ms Prinsendam


Holland America's ms Prinsendam offers 27- and 30-day cruises out of Istanbul that visit ports in Sochi, Batumi, Trabzon, Sinop, Volos, Kusadasi, Athens/Piraeus, Thira, Valletta, Cadiz, Lisbon, Ponta Delgada, Bermuda and New York City, as well as a 30-day cruise that loops to Fort Lauderdale, Florida as well. Twelve of the 27 days aboard the cruise are spent at sea, with the remaining 14 days spent in port (15 days at port for the 30-day cruise). While on board the ms Prinsendam, guests can enjoy two outdoor pools, three hot tubs, a theater, casino, library, Internet cafe, tennis court, gym, spa, boutique and many lounges, bars and restaurants. The Explorer's Lounge includes royal Dutch tea and after-dinner coffee, while the Java Cafe offers various coffee drinks and snacks. AMA Waterways' ms Amadagio


AMA Waterways' ms Amadagio sails out of Istanbul on a 13-day trip to Istanbul, Plovdiv, Veliko Turnovo, Ruse, Giurgiu, Bucharest, Vidin, Cruising the Iron Gates, Belgrade, Novi Sad, Vukovar, Mohacs, Pecs and Budapest. On board, guests sailing on the Amadagio enjoy a more intimate style of cruising, with a total capacity of only 150 guests, a crew size of 41, and a total cruise length of 360 feet. Launched in 2006, the ms Amadagio has four decks and each stateroom and suite includes plush bedding, sitting areas, Internet access, music and television systems, air-conditioning and lots of closet space. Over 82 percent of the rooms offer French balconies, and suites include floor-to-ceiling windows, 255 square feet of space and roomy bathrooms. Dining on board includes menus selected by a culinary-trained staff, and dinners offer free, unlimited wines from regional vintages. Other ship amenities include free bicycle rentals for port visits and a open-air fitness center.


Silversea Cruises' Silver Wind


Silversea Cruises' Silver Wind sails on a nine-day journey from Istanbul to Rhodes, Kusadasi, Mikonos, Thira, Dubrovnik, Split and Venice, with two full days spent at sea. Amenities include an outdoor pool, two hot tubs, a beauty salon, boutique mall, library, spa, casino and fitness club. Total capacity on the 514-foot cruise is 296 passengers, and the ship offers 150 cabins on nine decks. The cruise is registered in Italy and has a crew of 210 staff. Suites are offered with veranda, owner's suite, vista and silver styles, with amenities, such as patios, cable television, dressing tables, refrigerators and cocktail cabinets. Restaurant dining, which is informal, includes "The Restaurant," a gourmet restaurant with culinary-trained chefs, and the Terrace Cafe, which is styled as a traditional English smoking club, complete with complimentary cognac and cordials.
