Large closets are a wonderful asset to a home because they provide a lot of storage space. At times, though, oversized closets can present an organizational challenge. Maybe there is little or no hanging space or shelving and you are left with a big empty space to figure out fill. Maybe there is existing hanging space and shelving but it is not perfect for your needs. Whatever your challenge, you can organize a large closet for maximum efficiency. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Install hanging racks and shelving if they are not already installed in your closet.

2. Arrange clothing in a way that makes sense to you. It can be arranged by season, by garment type or by style.

3. Organize shoes by placing pairs in labeled storage containers and stacking the containers on a shelf.

4. Organize purses and handbags using shelf dividers to separate each item and keep it standing upright. Place small purses or purses that cannot easily stand upright in labeled storage containers and stack the containers on a shelf.
