Organize A Bedroom With No Closet

Find a place for everything even without a closet in your bedroom.

Organizing a bedroom is difficult enough even when you have ample closet space. When you don't have a closet where you can stash all your stuff, your bedroom can quickly fall into disarray. But with a few creative solutions, you can keep your bedroom in perfect order. You may find that you don't even need a closet after all. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Store your clothing in a durable standing closet. Use one that has adjustable shelves so you can store other larger or smaller accessories as well. Another option is to store clothing in an armoire. Stackable boxes against a wall make a good place for bulky sweaters.

2. Use storage bins to store out-of-season clothing. Label your bins so you know what's in each one. You can also attach casters to the bottom of a wooden box or drawer from an old dresser. This can easily be rolled out of sight under the bed. If it's in your budget, buy a bed that has storage compartments built into it.

3. Buy an inexpensive plastic organizer with several compartments to store items such as belts, jewelry, and ties. Consider covering the bottom of some of the compartments with felt to protect jewelry from scratches.

4. Attach coat hooks to the back of your bedroom door. Hang your robe, coat, and a hanging laundry bag in lieu of a hamper.

5. Install pull-out shelves along a wall that can house all of your shoes.

6. Hang a pegboard on a wall so you can hang up purses, scarves, necklaces, and other accessories.
