Organizing kid's closet is a challenge.
Many people feel overwhelmed by the clutter in their closets. And although kids may not feel overwhelmed by all the toys and clothes that line the inside of their closet, their parents may. Kids of different ages require different closet organizers. Shorter kids need their clothes at a lower level than older kids who can reach higher and use step stools. Does this Spark an idea?
Totes
Whether clear or colored, totes are a handy way to collect the clutter that covers closet and bedroom floors. Clear totes allow you to see what is inside; while color-coded totes allow you to store like items in like colored totes. Totes with lids are also stackable.
Cubbies
Wooden cubbies are available in a variety of heights and lengths, allowing you to store different sized items, such as shoes, belts, sweaters and pants. You can install cubbies on the floor and stack to the height that your child can reach or you can stack them all the way to the ceiling. Cubbies come with or without doors on the front.
Shelves
You can use shelves for more than just books. You can simply place a bookshelf in your child's closet and store different items on each shelf. For example, place all of your child's shirts on the one shelf and all of his pants on another. You can also use shelves in combination with other items such as baskets to hold the smaller items such as belts and shoes.
Custom Designed Organizers
A custom designed closet has a variety of options including belt racks, chrome baskets, molded drawers and chrome closet rods. You can design the rods the exact length you need for the size closet your child has. You can also have as many or as few baskets and drawers that you have a need for. Be sure to place the baskets and drawers within reach of a small child.
