Bathroom Storage Options

In any small space, storage becomes an issue. Many bathrooms are space deprived, and yet there are many items that it wouldn't make sense to store them anywhere else. From tooth brushes to spare towels to a set of electric curlers, there needs to be a space allocated for everything. Does this Spark an idea?

Cabinetry

Most everyone has under-the-sink cabinets at some point, but there is no need to limit the cabinetry to that space--consider above-the-sink cabinetry. This works especially well in his-and-hers bathrooms when it serves as a divide between the two sink spaces. Vertical bar pullouts from either high or low cabinets serve to hold towels in a less conspicuous manner.

Shelves

Shelves are versatile storage solutions that can match any decor. To maximize storage in a corner, use corner shelves. If you don't like the look of over-the-toilet shelves, mount free hanging shelves directly to the wall. These can go anywhere in the bathroom.

Baskets and Other Ideas

Use a basket to store extra, rolled-up towels in a decorative yet functional manner. Use a large basket for the bath towels and a small one for the wash cloths. Hooks are great for storing anything that can be hung, from bathrobes to back scrubbers. Over-the-door storage is another option, although it can create a cluttered look.
