Go Wardrobe Shopping For Women

Women, have you noticed that your wardrobe needs some help? Your clothes might be outdated, worn out, or maybe they just don't fit you anymore. Whatever the reason, buying clothes to make up your wardrobe can be fun, but should not be taken lightly. These are clothes that will last you for years if you shop effectively.

Instructions

1. Go through the clothes that you currently own. Try everything on to make sure it fits properly. Be completely honest with yourself. It can be difficult to part with an article of clothing, but sometimes it just has to go. Get a second opinion, if you think you need it.

2. Toss or donate unwanted clothing.

3. Create a two detailed lists to help you shop. The first one will list all of the clothing you are keeping. The second is a list of clothing you want to purchase. Have some freedom with the second list. You can never tell how your shopping trip is going to turn out.

4. Give yourself a budget and stick to it. If you cannot afford to do all of the shopping done all on one trip, you can stretch it out over a number of weeks.

5. Schedule a day you can spend a good few hours purchasing your wardrobe. Bring along a friend that is sensible. Some friends that are overexcited about shopping can get you to spend too much or purchase items you don't need.

6. Wear comfortable clothes that you can take on and off without a problem. This will make trying on new clothes easier. This includes shoes! Comfortable shoes are very important with all of the walking and moving around you will be doing.

7. Start with basics. Articles of clothing that are simple with solid colors will fit into a wardrobe better than patterned clothing. Those clothes should be purchased after the basics. You will get more for your money if you can mix and match your clothing.

8. Pairs of pants can be purchased for current fashion or classic cuts. It is best to get wide-leg trousers if you want your pants to last.

9. Remember to consider your work attire. The best way to have a versatile wardrobe is to find pieces that can blend into all areas of your life.

10. Look at fabrics, prices and care instructions while browsing.

11. Try on everything! You never know what something will look like on you. Be safe and try on all articles of clothing before purchasing. While you are wearing the clothing, get a good sense of how you feel in them: walk around, bend over and move in the clothes.
