Use A Curtain Rod In A Closet

A closet is a fabulous spot to store items you use regularly but don't really want the world to see. It seems no matter the number of closets in a household, there could always be more. By finding ways to maximize the use of a closet, you can get more storage out of them while keeping them well-maintained and organized. Curtain rods hung in a closet won't hold many heavy items, but they are a cheap way to use wall space in the closet to hang items such as scarves, ties and small amounts of lighter clothing. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Determine the available wall space in the closet where you could hang a curtain rod. Make sure it's not going in a spot that will be completely covered by your coat not to be seen again until next winter. An ideal spot is along the side wall or back that you could reach without having to dig through clothes or boxes to access it.

2. Install the curtain rod hardware with a power drill according to the installation directions. Place the rod on the hardware brackets.

3. Hang scarves, neckties, hair accessories, pantyhose, gloves, or any other small, lightweight item on the curtain rod for easy retrieval the next time you need it.
