Decorate With A White Mahogany Armoire

Tall white armoires suit rooms with white window trim.

White mahogany armoires are made from yellowish-white timber, which is known as chen negro. White mahogany wood has no relationship to the mahogany botanical family. Its attractive appearance and interlocked grain make chen negro an ideal material for a functional storage piece, such as an armoire. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Add a free-standing white mahogany jewelry armoire to an old Hollywood-style dressing room area. Hang an ornate gold or silver framed mirror above the top of the jewelry armoire. Place a few easy-to-remove accessories on the armoire's lid and maintain easy access to jewelery in an upper shelf. Accentuate the chen negro wood's wavy texture by placing a lamp nearby.

2. Place a tall white mahogany armoire in a bedroom with white floorboards and window trim. Tie the armoire into your room's decor with nearly sheer wispy white curtains. Feature a sitting area with French Provincial style chairs that have white s-shaped legs nearby the classic storage piece. Velvety upholstery, a satiny comforter and gold armoire handles are an attractive decorating combination.

3. Use a white armoire as a vintage ceramic display case in your dining room area. Line the back of a white mahogany armoire with bold wallpaper that is easily seen when its glass doors are shut. Fill it with standout items such as old shapely white vases and navy blue floral print ceramics. Decorate the flat top with ceramic, glass and metallic items of varying heights.
