Organize A Purse

An organized purse makes life easier

For many women, a purse is more than a piece of baggage. A purse can be a woman's planner, first-aid kit, makeup container and file cabinet--and that is just for starters. So when you are trying to find your lip gloss, that receipt you know you tucked in there, or the ever elusive car keys somewhere in the depths of your handbag, it can be stressful to say the least. By organizing your purse, you will save time and gain peace of mind. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Start with a purse that encourages organization. Many bags offer pockets, zippers and dividers. Some even have bonus built-ins, such as slots for your license and debit card, a cell phone sized pocket on the outside, and a magnet that will hold on to your keys. Find a purse that is the size and style you like with organizational qualities you can live with.

2. Empty out your current purse to get an idea of the types of things you generally tuck away inside of your purse. Clean off any items that need it, such as your hairbrush or makeup.

3. Group like items together. Receipts and other paper items should go in one pile, beauty items in another, pens and small notepads in another.

4. Consider how frequently you use each of these groups. Place the items, grouped together, in a section of your purse that makes sense. For example, if you frequently find yourself needing to jot down notes, directions or phone numbers, keep the paper and writing utensils in an accessible outer pocket.

5. Once a week, take five or ten minutes to clean out your purse. File away receipts and other important papers. Wipe out any spilled makeup or dirt. Place stray items back in their rightful pockets or sections.
