Build A Luxury Closet Organizer

Give your clothes more space by installing a luxury closet organizer.

Having a well organized closet is key in order to find your clothes faster. Creating a luxurious closet will allow you to store other items, in addition to clothes like accessories and shoes. Building your own luxury closet organizer is a great alternative to paying hundreds of dollars to have a closet specialist come out and install one for your space. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Remove all items from your closet so you can take accurate measurements. Using a measuring tape, measure the width, height, and length of your closet. Write all of these measurements down and take them to your nearest hardware store that specializes in closet organizers. Tell the closet organizing department that you are interested in installing a closet organizer and would like them to design a system that will work best for your space. They will print out a design and provide you with the necessary kit for your closet. Sometimes you may need to purchase multiple kits in order to create the luxury organizer for your closet.

2. Read the instructions for the closet organizers that you have been provided with. Many of the closet organizer kits will come with all of the supplies needed to install them. Assemble each of the organizers by following the instructions provided. Be aware that each individual unit may take several hours to assemble.

3. Anchor your lower units to the wall first by using the included anchoring items included in the kit. After you have positioned these anchors carefully, drill them into the wall to secure each of your lower closet organizers. Then, using a screw, attach the unit to the wall anchor. Repeat this for all of the lower closet units until you have finished installing all of them.

4. Install the upper level units by carefully inserting the included wooden pegs into the selected lower level units. Carefully place the upper level unit onto of the wooden pegs. Be aware that this step may require using a ladder and someone to assist you. Once you have installed your upper level unit, anchor the shelf by using the same technique explained in step three. Repeat this process for each of the upper closet units until you have finished installing all of them.

5. Install the expandable rods included in the closet kit by drilling the rod reinforcement into the wall. Make sure to position the rod so that there is plenty of room for your clothes to hang without touching the ground. Add baskets or boxes to your closet system which can be used to store smaller items. Fill your new luxurious closet organizer with your clothing and accessories.
