Organize A Closet For A Home Office

It is important to keep your home office clean and organized. A closet in your home office can be valuable storage space for your business-related materials supplies. Don't think that just because you can close the closet door and hide the clutter you are doing yourself any favors. Instructions


1. Remove everything from your home office closet.


2. Discard any items that you no longer want, use or need.


3. Sort the remaining items by frequency of use.


4. Use plastic storage bins to keep smaller, related items together. Create a label for the outside of each bin so that you know exactly what is inside.


5. If necessary, measure and cut plywood to fit the inside dimensions of your closet and mount brackets to the interior closet walls. Place the plywood on top of the brackets and you have instant extra shelving.


6. Place items back into the closet, storing the most frequently used items on the shelves in the middle. Place heavy items on the floor or lower shelves and lighter items that are not frequently used on the highest shelves.
