Make A Closet Smell Like Cedar

Make your closets smell like cedar with cedar blocks.

You have a basic closet in your home, but you want it to smell like a cedar closet. Since cedar may be a more expensive wood than you could afford for your closets, or if you simply do not want to have the closets rebuilt or lined with cedar wood, you have the option of adding a cedar scent to your existing closet. This is much more affordable, and gives you the same cedar smell you want to achieve. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Vacuum out the closet to get rid of any dust or residue that may cause an unpleasant smell.

2. Place a bowl of baking soda in each corner of your closet, using about 1 cup baking soda in each bowl. This will absorb any existing odor. Let the bowls sit for about two to three days.

3. Discard the baking soda and place one cedar block in your closet. These are available at most grocery and home improvement stores, and one block gives your closet the fresh cedar scent.

4. Replace the cedar blocks as needed when you no longer smell the cedar scent in the closet.
