Bedroom wardrobes can be intricate in design.
The wardrobe in your bedroom is where all your clothes are kept and is integral to the bedroom itself, as it allows you to dress after waking up or showering and also prepare to retire to bed all in one room. There are a number of different places in a bedroom where a wardrobe can be effectively placed, hidden or even built into the room itself. Does this Spark an idea?
Multiuse Furniture
Due to the size of a bedroom wardrobe, both in height and broadness, it can be used for a number of purposes other than just storing clothes. This affects where it is placed in the bedroom itself. If the top of the wardrobe is wide, high and sturdy, a television can be placed on it with other electronic devices, like DVD players and cable boxes, and it can be placed at the end of the bed or in a place where the television can be easily viewed. The wardrobe can also be placed against one wall with a mirror affixed above it, making it double as a small vanity on which makeup and jewelry can be kept.
In the Closet
The bedroom wardrobe can also be placed inside the bedroom closet, assuming there is room and the wardrobe itself will fit. This will create a large amount of new floor space in the bedroom, making it feel much more spacious, as you will have reclaimed the space taken up by the wardrobe, as well as the space taken up when the drawers are open. With the wardrobe in the closet, the bedroom will also look more organized and formal, allowing you to easily put clothes away in the closet so that they aren't constantly in the way.
Built Into the Wall
Some wardrobes can become part of the wall of the house itself or the wall of a larger walk-in closet. This both effectively saves floor space and ensures the wardrobe won't break down as easily over time. However, this is a more expensive option unless the decision to put the wardrobe in the wall is made when you are first designing your house or remodeling it. It will also create a unique design for the room, with drawers sliding in and out of the walls of your closet or bedroom.
