Decorate head bands and barrettes to coordinate with any outfit. Follow these simple steps to create your own original fashion accessories, to compliment dresses, and all your favorite outfits, without spending a fortune.
Instructions
1. Gather your accessories. Coordinate brightly colored, patterned ribbon, beads, bows and other odds and ends, to your favorite outfits, for a one of a kind fashion accessory.
2. Glue thick cloth ribbon over plastic headbands, in whatever colors and patterns you prefer. Completely cover the band with ribbon, using enough glue to hold ribbon secure, but not bleed through fabric. Let dry for several hours, or overnight. For an extra touch add a small bow made from either the same ribbon, or a coordinating one.
3. Cover cheap metal or plastic barrettes with colored beads, rhinestones, or other odds and ends. Glue in place and let it dry overnight.
4. Mix and match. Coordinate fabric, ribbon, beads, and other odds and ends with your favorite outfits. Be creative. Set your inner fashion designer free. Use polka dots, stripes, checks and solids, in coordinating colors. Set off with pieces of jewelry, rhinestones, or other fake stones. Have fun creating your masterpieces, and showing them off to friends and family.
