Instructions


1. Measure the dimensions of your closet with a measuring tape. Write them down and keep them in a handy spot.


2. Go online and navigate to a closet design company that features free online closet design. Closets To Go, Closet Organizers USA and Easy Closets all feature this software.


3. Click on the design tab on the website homepage. Choose whether or not you want to register. If you register, enter your information. Skip it by pushing the "Skip Registration" button at the bottom of the page. Scroll down to select the type of closet you are designing (reach-in, walk-in or obscure). In the next window, pick out the closet layout that is closest to your closet. Type in the dimensions of your closet in inches. Pick out products for each wall. Click on "Construct" to view the final product and order items.


4. Select the type of closet you are designing (reach-in, walk-in or obscure). Enter the measurements on the closet diagram shown on the following page.


5. Choose how you want to utilize each wall in the next section (whole, part, or none). Choose products like shelves, racks and cubbyholes on the next page.


6. Click "Overhead View" to see the closet layout and print to show keep a copy. Add finishing touches like shelf and hardware color. Become a member to save designs and order online.
