Store A Chest Freezer

Buying food in bulk saves money on meat and other perishables. However, it's not much of a savings if the food spoils because you don't have a proper place to store it. When you have a chest freezer, you have space for all of the food items you want to store. Chest freezers are less expensive than stand-up freezers, meaning you can get more freezer space for the money. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Make room for it in the kitchen. If you plan to use your chest freezer to store bulk food items, it makes sense to keep it in the kitchen so you can quickly access that food when you need it.

2. Store it in your garage. A chest freezer is bulky, and many people don't have room for it in the kitchen. Instead, consider placing it in your garage. The garage is a way to enjoy the benefits of a chest freezer without storing it where it's in the way. However, unless your garage is insulated, you might find it takes extra electricity to keep your chest freezer cold during warm, summer months.

3. Stash your chest freezer in a closet. If you have extra room in your closet, and there's an electrical outlet handy, you can store your chest freezer. This storage location keeps the chest freezer out of the way, yet still allows it to sit in a temperature-controlled environment.
