Rubbermaid Big Max Instructions

The Rubbermaid Big Max storage shed provides 325 cubic feet of storage space. Its double walled construction is sturdy and secure and the components have an all weather resin that does not rot or rust. The design of the Big Max's wall anchoring system allows for easy installation of shelving or pegboard (sold separately). Does this Spark an idea?


Instructions


1. Screw the floor pieces together and punch out the door hinge tabs with the screw driver.


2. Cut out the slot tabs in the floor with the utility knife. Punch out the screw holes on the shed components with the screw driver.


3. Lubricate the flaps on the back of the left front panel with liquid soap and attach the front and back panels at the flaps. Align the lap joints of the panels and snap the front and back panels into the floor.


4. Join the wall panels with the wall connectors using the screws provided.


5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for the back and right panels.


6. Attach the front panels to the side laps and snap into the floor.


7. Fasten the back gable to the wall using the screws provided.


8. Slide the hinge reinforcement into the top pin of the left door. Lubricate the door reinforcement with liquid soap and slide it into the groove on the handle side of the door.


9. Slide the gasket into the door groove beginning at the top middle.


10. Align the holes on the window and door, and secure with the washers and screws provided.


11. Repeat steps 8 to 10 on the right side.


12. Screw the door header to the front gable and lift the gable onto the front wall panels.


13. Insert the lower hinge pin of the left door into the hole on the front floor section. Lift the gable and insert the top hinge pin and close the door.


14. Repeat step 13 on the right side.


15. Open the right door and connect the front panel and the door header using the nut and bolt provided and then repeat on the left side.


16. Screw the front gable to the right and left panels from inside the shed.


17.Screw the skylights to the upper roof panels, and then screw the upper roof panels together.


18. Connect the truss rafters (long metal pieces) at the ends using a nut and bolt. Secure the truss collars and brackets to the trusses using the nuts and bolts provided. Do not tighten.


19. Attach the trusses where the wall panels join on the right and left sides using the screws provided.


20. Lift the assembled upper roof onto the peak and insert the two roof pins. Screw the upper roof panel to the gables.


21. Tighten the bolts on the truss assembly.


22. Attach the purlins (two strips that fit front to back beneath upper roof panels) and fasten to the trusses using nuts and bolts. Repeat on the opposite side.


23. Lift the upper roof panel on each side, and then slide the lower panel over the purlin and under the upper panel. Install the two roof pins on each side of the roof.


24. Hold the roof edge down and fasten first the front, and then the back gable to the roof using the screws provided.


25. Attach the lock hasp and barrel bolt to the doors, and then screw the door magnet onto the inside of the left door panel. Install the door handle onto the left door and screw in place.
