Organize Bathroom Stuff

Hang towels and bathrobes on wall-mounted hooks.

The bathroom serves many roles for most people. It's where you clean up, get ready for the day and where you store toiletries, towels and in some cases, sheets. For many, it's even a place to soak, relax and unwind after a hectic day. The demands on the bathroom can lead to a giant mess if you don't keep everything clean and organized. Organize your bathroom stuff so you can access it with ease and you know when it's time to stock up on more necessities. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Hang a wall-mounted shelving unit in the bathroom closet to store extra towels and linens, extra soap and shampoo. Use a drill and the appropriate mounting hardware to attach the shelves to the wall. If you'd rather not drill into the wall, place a bookcase in the closet. If you lack a closet, find a space in the bathroom to put the bookcase or shelves.

2. Arrange extra shampoo and conditioner bottles and cleaning products in large decorative bins or baskets. Place the bins on a shelf that's easy to reach or stash them under the sink if you have enough room.

3. Set a decorative tray on the top of the toilet tank. Arrange small jars or shallow dishes on the tray and put small bathroom items, such as cotton swabs, cotton balls and hair clips in the dishes or jars. If you have a large enough bathroom counter, put the tray on the counter instead of the toilet tank. Only place items you use daily on the counter top or tank.

4. Keep makeup, accessories, combs and brushes or any other items you use frequently in a drawer. Place a drawer divider inside to keep items separate and orderly.

5. Hang a shower caddy over the shower head in the tub or shower to store items you use while washing up, such as a shampoo, conditioner and soap. Hang an over-the-door hook over the shower rod or glass door to hang a sponge or washcloth from.

6. Put a few hooks over the bathroom or bathroom closet door to hang towels to dry. Attach a wall-mounted hook rack if you prefer. You may also want to hang a hook by the sink for a hand towel.
