Organize Clothing Drawers

They say that your surroundings say a lot about who you are as a person. If your house and your bedroom is in disarray, that may signify that your life is disorganized. Since you've landed here it must mean that you are ready to make some changes, so let's start with your clothing drawers. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Clear out all of your drawers completely and pile everything on your bed. Try to keep everything in separate piles to be categorized.

2. Use disinfecting wipes to wipe down the inside of your drawers and clear them of debris. Cut a dryer sheet in half and place each half at either corner of drawer toward the back. This will help keep your clothes smelling fresh.

3. Insert drawer organizers into each drawer. You can buy drawer organizers that separate each drawer into three parts, two parts, or many different small parts. For example, if you want to be ultra-organized you can keep all of your white, black and patterned underwear in segmented units.

4. Fold the clothing items on your bed carefully. Fold jeans and pants in half lengthwise so that they will be flatter in the drawer. Fold shirts in half horizontally and then vertically (like a folded piece of paper) to help them fit into the drawer nicely. Fold your undergarments in half as well, as they tend to be the messiest part of any drawer. Match your socks together and roll them up neatly.

5. Carefully place your jeans and pants in the bottom drawers, then your shirts and tanks in the middle drawers, and finally, your undergarments in the top drawer. This is for a variety of reasons, including the order in which you dress, and the need to keep your heaviest items on the bottom so that your dresser remains stable.
