Organize A Wardrobe Closet

Organizing your wardrobe closet does not have to be difficult.

Wardrobe closets can easily become overcrowded and packed with clothes and shoes that you forgot you even owned. Not only does it take up unnecessary space in your closet, but it also prevents you from seeing everything that you have to choose from. The clothes and shoes in your closet that you have not used can be given away, thrown away or packed away for a later time. Instead of putting off this organizing project for spring cleaning, take the necessary steps to get this space organized and clutter-free now. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Remove everything from the wardrobe closet and place on your floor or bed.

2. Divide everything into three separate piles. One pile is for charity, another pile is trash and the final pile is everything you plan to keep.

3. Throw the trash away or recycle the items that can be recycled.

4. Contact the local clothing drive or the charity of your choice and donate all of the usable items you know you will no longer wear.

5. Separate the items you are going to keep into piles according to the weather. Put all of the clothes and shoes for cold weather in one pile, all of the summer/hot clothes and shoes in another pile and all of the clothes and shoes that can be worn throughout the year in a pile of their own.

6. Pack your off-season clothes and shoes in a box or storage container and store them until the appropriate time of year.

7. Fold t-shirts and leisure clothes and neatly place them in drawers. If you prefer and if you have enough space in your closet, use closet organizers to place your folded clothes.

8. Hang all of your work clothes, dress-up clothes, jeans and jackets on a hanger in your closet.

9. Position all of the jeans according to color, do the same with tank tops, short-sleeve shirts, long-sleeve shirts and other articles of clothing.

10. Place each pair of shoes in a shoe organizer and either hang on the wardrobe closet's door or slide under the bed.
