Organize A Small Bedroom Kids

It's not a bad thing to "make due with what you have." You may just need some ideas on get the most out of a small kids bedroom. Does this Spark an idea?

1. If your child is old enough to sleep in a regular twin bed, you may want to consider a loft bed. This kind of bed is taller than a bunk bed and comes with rails. The difference is that there is no lower bunk. This is a great storage solution because you can utilize all the space underneath. There is plenty of head room at the top so they don't feel closed up.


2. Plastic storage bins come in many different sizes and styles. Under the loft bed, you can use a 3, 4 or 5 drawer plastic rolling storage cart for miscellaneous items.


3. You can also hang up clothes under a loft bed by installing a hanging rod that runs along underneath the bed. Use standard hangers to hang up clothes and you have an instant closet!


4. Shelves are always a great way to utilize regularly unused space. There are many types of shelves for different needs. You can stack shelves from floor to ceiling in a smaller space or install a few longer shelves. There are also corner shelves.


5. Instead of a bedside lamp, you may want to consider a row of plug-in track lights. These lights plug into a standard outlet but can be mounted on the wall. You can find these lights at most stores. They offer enough light to fill a room without having to wire anything or take up space.


6. Don't forget about storage over the door. You can find over-the-door storage bags or shoe bags at any home store.
