Home Storage Solutions For Toys

Use furniture that can double as storage.

Friends and family members often purchase toys for your kids for any holiday or occasion. That leaves you with a problem: Where do you put all of this stuff? There are many home-storage solutions for kids' toys. Does this Spark an idea?

Furniture Storage

My Great Home says to "look for furniture that serves more than one purpose. ..." (See References 1) Footstools with a removable top, cabinets that can double as a cubby and end tables with drawers are some great options to store toys out of sight.

Hanging Organizers

A hanging organizer can be hung either in a corner of your child's room or off of a closet rod. (See Reference 2) Netting is a cute display option and can be hung in a corner to hold items like stuffed animals.

Bookcases

Many bookcases can hold individual storage bins. Bookcases can be purchased or custom-built into the wall depending on space available. (See Reference 3)

Toy Chests

Purchase a toy chest that goes with your child's room. A chest with padding on top can double as a window seat. If you can't find something to match the decor, you can paint a regular chest. (See Reference 3)

Mesh Baskets

Fold-away mesh laundry baskets can keep sports equipment and other toys. These baskets come in many colors or even animal shapes. It's a perfect way for your kids to have fun while putting away their toys. (See Reference 3)
