Use The Space In A Small Bedroom

There's nothing worse than feeling boxed in because your bedroom or dorm room is too small. When you can't make more space, the only thing to do is to be creative with the space you have. You may not be able to make a bedroom bigger, but there are better ways to use the space in a small bedroom to make the room more comfortable. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Footlockers conserve space in a small bedroom. They come in a variety of styles and sizes. You can find footlockers that fit the theme of a child's room and trunks that are more suitable for an adult bedroom. Storage trunks and footlockers are made from a variety of materials like metal, wood or wicker.

2. A shoe caddy may fit neatly under your bed or you could hang one on the back of a closet door. This keeps shoes organized and right at hand. No more looking for that lost shoe.

3. Replace the bed in a small bedroom. Of course, you want to tailor the bed and everything else to the bedroom's occupant. Bunk beds may be suitable for small children, but a futon would be more suitable for an older child. A futon can also serve a dual purpose, being a sofa by day and a bed at night.

4. Closet organizers are a great way to use the space in a small bedroom. A closet organizing system can be purchased or homemade. They are typically made of wood, wire frame or plastic. Closet organizing systems are made in a variety of shapes and sizes. They can also be tailor-made to suit your needs. A closet organizing system provides divided spaces to help keep your things neat.

5. Fit stackable cubes against a wall. They resemble a bookshelf but are deeper than most bookshelves. Stackable cubes also provide divided spaces to help keep your things neat.

6. Downsize the furniture in your room to give you more space for moving around. Find a smaller night stand, desk and chair, for example.
