Make your purses look appealing with a professional display.
Any good salesman knows that an item is only as attractive as you make it. Quality and price matter when selling purses, but how you display them is of equal importance. Whether you're setting up a display table in your local retail shop or at a fashion convention, customers must be able to imagine themselves carrying your purses. Purses must be displayed in a manner that makes them easy to touch, open and examine as well as admire. Do more than just pile purses on a table or in a cardboard bin; set up an attractive table display to turn browsers into buyers. Does this Spark an idea?
Instructions
1. Create a scene around the purses that fits either the season you're selling in or the theme of the convention. Invest in mobile track lighting to hang above your display so that strong, bright lights make your purses shine.
2. Set up tables at angles on either side of your display space. Cover the tables with a black tablecloth or another color that better fits your theme. Add leaves on the floor and table for a fall-themed display as well as craft gourds and harvest corn. Use colorful chairs for a bright-themed display or a contrasting color theme such as black, red and white for a modern-themed display.
3. Place 7-1/2-inch double purse hook stands on the tables and well as adjustable handbag stands that you can place either on the tables or floor. Hang one purse on each hook. Reserve the hooks for your most expensive inventory or the purses. Also, place the purses that you believe shoppers will find most appealing and that are most eye-catching on these hooks.
4. Use an over-the-edge purse rack to display more purses along the rear or sides of your display. Purse racks meant to store purses behind a closet door are an excellent way to display a number of purses in a small amount of space. Hang the hook of the rack over the top edge of your display and loop the handles of the purses over each hook on the rack to display a row of purses vertically.
5. Store extra inventory in plastic boxes with lids beneath tables so they are out of sight. When necessary, replace stock on tables and hooks. Restock when traffic is light.
