Make Baby Closet
Dividers
Between hand-me-downs and baby showers, new babies may have clothes in many sizes. Closet dividers will help keep all the cute baby clothes organized by size. While you can purchase baby closet dividers at almost any baby boutique, making your own is not only cheaper, but you can make them to match your nursery decor. Does this Spark an idea?
Instructions
1. Lay one of the plastic closet dividers on a plain sheet of paper and trace around it to make a template.
2. Cut the template out and tape it to the front of the closet divider. Trim any excess paper away with a craft knife. Remove the template and discard the tape.
3. Trace the template onto the back of the scrapbook paper twice. If you are using different papers for every size of clothing, you will need two of each paper. Otherwise, make sure you have two paper covers for each closet divider. Repeat this for each divider you are making.
4. Cut the templates out of the scrapbook paper neatly. Keep the matching cut-outs together.
5. Write a different size range on each scrapbook paper cut-out. Newborn through 24 months should cover most new baby's needs. Let the permanent marker dry completely.
6. Apply a thin layer of high-quality adhesive to the closet divider, and gently place the scrapbook paper cover on the divider. Starting at the top and center of the divider, smooth the scrapbook paper making sure to smooth out any air bubbles or wrinkles.
7. Repeat the gluing process to apply the scrapbook cover to the back of the closet divider. Allow the glue to dry before hanging the dividers.
