Easy Track
provides closet solutions for reach-in and walk-in closets with pre-made shelving and rod systems you install on your own. These closets take about two hours to install as long as you have the proper tools and all the installation parts. Each kit comes with everything you need to install the closet solution, so as long as you don't lose any parts you are all set to build. Does this Spark an idea?
Instructions
1. Decide where the closet organizer will go and mark this area with masking tape. Establish a left- and right-hand panel.
2. Mark a line for the vertical panel installation above your previous tape marks at 84 inches from the floor. Find your closet studs and mark them with a pencil. Knock on the walls, or use a stud finder to locate studs. Studs are 16 inches apart along the wall, so once you find one measure 16 inches from the estimated center of that stud to find the next one.
3. Mount track to the wall with a single screw and a power driver on your mark at 84 inches. Make sure the screw hits one of your stud marks. Expand the track to 4 inches longer than each of the panel marks if it is not already expanded. Level the track with a carpenter's level and install additional mounting screws, each into a stud in the wall.
4. Assemble the long shelving unit on the floor by screwing the shorter shelf boards to the long shelving side boards through the mounting holes pre-drilled in each. Use the provided mounting screws and a power screwdriver.
5. Hang this shelving unit by inserting it in the track on the wall. Press the unit into the track so the slits in the shelving line up with the track edge.
6. Mount the closet rod holders to the shelving units at around 72 inches from the floor, or where ever you decide to mount them. Use the provided screws and a screwdriver. Install the closet shelving rod in the holders by sliding it into the brackets.
7. Add tracks and shelving units following this procedure as desired and as space allows.
