Most tie racks can either be mounted on a wall or directly on the clothes rod in your closet. Setting up a tie rack takes just a few minutes and will help preserve your ties. If you have a wall-mounted tie rack you should be able to simply mount it in your closet by following the steps outlined in the manual, however installation can get be trickier if you have a motorized tie rack that attaches to the clothes rod. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Assemble the tie rack according to the directions in the owner's manual. Open the battery compartment to install the unit's batteries. Snap the compartment back after the batteries are secure.

2. Turn the tension knob counter-clockwise, before you attempt to mount the tie rack, to ensure that you have the widest setting for the tension bracket. Lift the unit carefully to the clothes rod, with the "bottom" facing up.

3. Remove the tie rack's rod cover before positioning the unit onto the clothes rod. Replace the rod cover and sercure the unit by turning the tension knob clockwise.
