Municipal Golf Courses In Las Vegas With Lights For Night Play

Choosing a lighted golf course allows players to continue their game even when the sun starts to go down.

Busy working schedules keep many golf enthusiasts from finding time to play the sport as much as they would like. However, finding a course that's lit for night-play can allow working professionals to play a round or two at night, leaving the weekends open for family time. The Las Vegas area offers residents and visitors a number of lighted golf courses to choose from.

Angel Park Golf Course

Angel Park Golf Course offers 36 holes of championship golf designed by Arnold Palmer. Also included at Angel Park is the Cloud Nine Short Course, and a natural grass Putting Course, both of which are lit for evening play. The Cloud Nine Short Course was named one of the Top Short Courses in America by Golf and Range Magazine, as well as one of the Top Ten Replica Courses in the Country by Travel and Leisure. The course has a walkable layout and is inspired by some of the most famous golf-holes worldwide. The Putting Course is a nine-hole course with fairways, bunkers, rock outcroppings and water-hazard designed to test golfer's skills. Best of all, the practice course at Angel Park is lit for evening play.

Desert Pines Golf Club

The Desert Pines Golf Club underwent an extensive renovation during the summer of 2007 with all 18 holes rebuilt to provide a Tour quality aspect to players at the course. The course was ranked in the Top 50 Public Golf Courses by readers of Golf Digest, and as one of the Top 100 Golf Ranges in America by Golf Range Magazine. The greens are modeled after Augusta National Golf Club and four on-site lakes are a part of the course designed to test the skills of even the best golfers. Evening tee times are available, and the lit greens allow players to continue their games into the night.

The Divine Nine course is fully illuminated for night play and features an additional backdrop of the lit Las Vegas Strip during evening games. The course's holes range from 110 to 185 yards, featuring greens with the quality of those on the P.G.A. Players may also take part in professional golf lessons from the Club's staff in order to improve their game.
